Cherry Hill, New Jersey family are seeking a dedicated and professional housekeeper to join the family and help keep their home sparking on a daily basis. You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties including vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, changing and laundering linen. Attention to detail is essential, the home is brand new construction with many high end finishes that need special care. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn and can anticipate our needs.

Housekeeper Duties Responsibilities

  • Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products
  • Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors as needed
  • In charge of vacuuming equipment; vacuums and cleans carpets, performs further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
  • Disposal of trash from bins and containers
  • Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
  • Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in bathrooms
  • Change of linens, and gather used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering
  • Collecting, washing, ironing and returning laundry to the appropriate place. Hand washing delicate items
  • Keeping refrigerator clean and discarding out-of-date items
  • Arranging dry-cleaning
  • Answering door and telephone as needed
  • Keeping patios, pathways and steps clean and tidy
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed
  • Keep all public spaces neat and tidy
  • Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job
  • Errands as needed for groceries, supplies etc.
  • Carrying out any other tasks that the employer may reasonably ask
  • Exercising pets on a regular basis and weekly pet bathing, preferred

Housekeeper Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience; or knowledge, skills, and mental ability equivalent to 2 years of high school education
  • Physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time
  • Previous experience cleaning luxury homes; training will be provided at the residence
  • Able to assist vendors/guests when needed
  • Pays attention to detail when cleaning
  • Organized and able to follow a schedule
