A CLIENT IN CALIFORNIA IS LOOKING FOR A RANCH FOREMAN

The person filling this position will assist the Director of Operations in mobilizing, setting up, and monitoring all ranch operations. Ability to operate farm equipment is the primary task being described here, but certainly not the only task.
The Ranch Foreman will assist the Director of Operations with property management and improvement projects such as land drainage systems, road repairs and maintenance, all phases of buildings and housing repairs & maintenance, fencing repairs, along with ongoing brush maintenance. The person filling this position will frequently need to train, monitor, and supervise outside field workers.
The Ranch Foreman will operate field equipment as needed throughout the seasons. Our equipment fleet includes tractors, various implements, backhoes, Bulldozers, Road compactors, Bobcat, Field mower, ATV’s, and 1 ½ ton trucks. Must have a CA driver’s license and clean DMV record.
This position frequently performs hands-on field work throughout the season. This work includes spring water piping repairs, digging, trenching, brush maintenance, landscaping, lake invasive species management.
General shop skills are very desirable, along with some knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and gas & diesel engine repair since this person will work with the Director of Operations in the set up, maintenance and repair of ranch machinery including tractors, mowers, ranch vehicles, ATV’s etc. Participate in equipment purchasing decisions, and insure maintenance of service records.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Heavy equipment operation—Excavator, Road Compactor, Bulldozer
•Road maintenance and repairs, Landscaping, brush clearing.
•Coordinates daily with Director of Operations to establish goals and timelines.
•Maintain other ranch vehicles, building and fence repairs
Qualifications and Skills
•Experience in construction and overall Handyman duties
•Multiple years’ experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
•Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to help identify and solve problems.
•Willing and able to work in remote locations.
